Fashion & Interior Stylist Kristin Rawson has a resume that spans two continents, and lists national magazine covers, fashion features and style news; a host of celebrity shoots and red carpet ensembles; consulting for fashion labels and runway shows; and directing advertising campaigns for mega brands.
Rawson kicked off her career at CLEO Magazine in Australia and worked on the successful launch of Shop ‘Til You Drop Magazine.
With New York calling, Rawson next moved to Manhattan, where she landed her dream job: assisting Brana Wolf, the lauded fashion director of American Harper's Bazaar. In that time, she collaborated regularly with photographers Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Mario Testino and Mario Sorrenti. She was quickly promoted to the position of Fashion Editor. After several years, Rawson moved over to Condé Nast to work on Teen Vogue.
With a background of such varied experience and detailed training, Rawson is now able to move seamlessly between demographics, budgets, and trends.
Rawson has styled her share of Hollywood royalty: Jennifer Aniston, Blake Lively, Naomi Watts, and Milla Jovovich, to name a few. She has contributed to countless magazines, including Glamour (US), Marie Claire (US), Grazia (UK), Lucky (US), Harper’s Bazaar (AUS) and Madison (AUS).
She also was appointed Fashion Director for the re-launch of US mega brand Ann Taylor - a triumph that put a tired brand firmly on the fashion map.
Since returning to Australia in 2012, Rawson has worked as Fashion Editor of Australian Harper’s Bazaar and contributed creatively to the Cotton On brand, based in Melbourne.
After so many years of styling not only models and celebrities, but also the sets in which they are shot, Rawson decided to officially extend into interior styling, which she recently completed studying at the Enmore Design Centre. She is currently focusing her career on this new direction, fitting out residential homes and contributing to interior design magazines.
Kristin lives in Seaforth, Australia, with her two Children Jackson & Billie Harper.
